Installation of Joedan EL75 Windows and Bifold Doors, AC100 Commercial Doors all in White YW2631 Matt, PPC panels in Blue.
Requirement
Located in Slough, this site provides the Head Offices for the Decorative paint’s division of the Dutch multinational company Akzo Nobel. Their requirement was to replace single glazed aluminium windows and doors to improve the thermal efficiency and improve aesthetics.
Solution
Working in conjunction with the main contractor it was agreed the Joedan 75mm system was most appropriate, due to the system’s overall durability, contemporary design and thermal efficiency values. Where required the Sapa EL52 Curtain Walling system was used for the full height screens. Grey Anti-Sun glazing was used where required to reduce the suns effects and Ceramic Glazing was utilised to conceal intermediate floor levels. For the main entrances AC100 Commercial doors were used to cope with heavy traffic. To provide a more comfortable environment for the cafeteria during warmer months the Joedan EL75 Bifold doors were utilised to open up the area when required. All framing was completed in a special finish as specified by the client.
