Requirement
Located in Cheltenham, Bournside School is a mixed secondary school and sixth form centre accommodating over 1700 young people. After successfully securing funding, the school needed to replace existing windows and doors to improve the thermal efficiency performance of the school.
Solution
Working in conjunction with the main contractor we used our Joedan commercial aluminium system to match the existing windows previously fitted incorporating both top hung lights and horizontal sliding windows. Teleflex gearing was fitted to the high-level opening vents. The school and architect had a particular visual design in mind which required utilising PPC panels in several different colours. The Sapa 202 commercial door was used for main entrances to cope with traffic. Anti-sun glazing was used where necessary.
